After having this juicer for a year and a half, here's my opinion: spend a little more and get a juicer with the pulp bin on the side. My kids and I love the juices we can make using this juicer, and it does a great job of extracting juice an impressive amount of juice from anything you feed it. There's plenty of power for juicing raw sweet potato chunks or anything else you might think would slow/stop the juicer.
My only complaint (which is why I rarely use the juicer now) is that it's a huge pain to have to disassemble the entire machine between each little cup/pitcher of juice to remove the pulp and rinse/scrub the screen. For one person- this machine is a 5 star juicer, but for a family who may all decide they, too, want juices when they hear mom turn on the juicer, this is a really inconvenient setup.
I was reluctant to buy the pricier machine because I wasn't sure I'd even like juicing. Turns out we all love it but now it's too much of a pain and too time-consuming. I'm moving on and debating a Ninja or Blendtec to save myself even more prep time and be able to make larger batches of smoothies for the whole family.
